Performs visual and dimensional inspection on raw materials received at Intuitive Mexicali Plant, following department procedures for Incoming Quality Control to ensure materials meet product specifications for instruments and accessories manufacturing.
Documents inspection results for traceability at the Finished Goods level.
Safety:
- Adheres to GMPs and wears safety gear for tasks
- Contributes to the Safety commission and undergoes safety training as needed
- Uses appropriate tools and equipment according to instructions, reporting any wear or damage
- Raises safety concerns with supervisors
- Implements 5S methodology in work areas
- Reports faulty safety devices promptly
Quality:
- Conducts raw material inspections in the IQC area and completes reports
- Uses computer software for inspections and result recording
- Documents TINS activities for VRs notification
- Generates problem descriptions for engineering analysis
- Creates VR Quality Notifications when necessary
- Performs First Article Inspections and route reports for approvals
- Executes Engineering requests and reports results
- Interprets mechanical drawings for dimensional inspection
- Evaluates supplier documentation against part drawings
Efficiency:
- Executes raw material inspections promptly and follows procedures
- Transfers inspected material to designated locations based on lot disposition
- Assigns locations for pending materials using IQC locator App
- Records inspection decisions in SAP and updates log files daily
Cost:
- Suggests and participates in improvement projects for equipment or processes
People:
- Completes assigned curriculum from ISU (Intuitive Surgical University)
- Creates self-evaluations for CIP and MERIT
- Abides by ISI Policies, Rules, and code of conduct
Productivity:
- Achieves daily inspection goals based on SAP
- Proficient in using standard inspection tools like calipers, micrometers
- Meets efficiency metrics set by department management
Education:
High School diploma or Technical studies
Languages:
Spanish: Fluent, English: Intermediate
Systems knowledge:
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Basic knowledge of SAP and Agile
Work Experience:
Minimum 1 year in Quality areas.
Minimum 2 years as Quality inspector or similar role.
Skills:
Minimum 2 years experience with measuring tools/equipment
Basic understanding of mechanical drawings
Desirable knowledge of GD&Ts
