Accountable for delivering Global Shippers Association objectives as related to Ground Freight in the Latin America region.The position requires a savvy business professional with excellent supplier management, sourcing, and negotiation skills with extensive expertise in Logistics on a Global level.
The individual should possess an in-depth working knowledge of the LATAM Logistics sector with an understanding of the market drivers.
Responsibilities include the negotiation of commercial and legal aspects of Ground Freight Service agreements, the development of long-term strategic sourcing plans and the nurturing of relationships with key service partners.
Must be able to work with a broad range of individuals globally from C level management at external suppliers to senior project leaders and logistics teams within various GSA member companies.
-Functions & Responsibilities:
- Drive collaboration across the GSA to develop Ground Transportation service agreements.
- Promote use of the GSA structure across all transport modes
- Lead the overarching GSA strategy to drive deflation and add value through effective negotiation and supplier selections.
- Establish defined processes to simplify the interaction between service providers and the GSA businesses.
- Identify and mitigate risks with service providers to ensure continuous improvement in quality and delivery.
- Collaborate with the GSA members on process improvements to drive operational efficiencies as it relates to transportation Services.
- Ensure GSA members are kept abreast of the latest developments in the LATAM Logistics market.
Requirements:
- Industrial Engineering, Administration or similar. (Title degree)
- English advanced
- At least 4 years of experience in logistics sourcing
