Handling general accounting tasks like preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules, and carrying out account reconciliations and monthly closings. Supporting the accounting department's responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare journal entries
- Manage general ledger operations
- Handle monthly closings and preparation of financial statements
- Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
- Assist with year-end closings
- Administer accounts payable
- Prepare tax computations and returns
- Assist in budget and forecast preparation
- Resolve bank issues and check differences
- Conduct account and bank reconciliations
- Review and process expense reports
- Support audit process preparation and coordination
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures
- Assist with Fixed Assets Management
- Manage Electronic Accounting
RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Accounting Supervisor
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in finance principles and financial reporting
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal financial and tax laws
- Technical accounting skills
- Prior experience in general accounting
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software
