Role Summary:
As a QA Engineer, you will support in the development, implementation and running of quality control programs and procedures.

This position involves the translation of customer specifications and industry standards into product / process criteria and creating control plans to achieve those requirements.

You'll also address the day-to-day issues with production quality within the manufacturing plant, at customer sites and supplier facilities.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Review the information in the Transfer File of the order prior to the Kick Off Meeting.
  • Generate the preliminary ITP based on information from the PMU, Datasheet, Specifications and technical clarifications of the Order Entry process.
  • Issuing the final ITP based on the information of the Transfer File considering the clarifications with the client.
  • Follow up on clarifications in customer specifications to generate the quality plan (ITP).
  • Guarantee compliance with the ITP throughout the life of the project.
  • Execute and document the nondestructive test of PMI.
  • Management of root cause analysis necessary to prevent quality problems. Manage the document system and information flow for the preparation of the dossier.
  • Lead the implementation of special certifications derived from customer requirements.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement through the implementation of CIP projects.
  • Comply with the goals of Santa Clara according to the KPIs defined by the Corporate (COPQs, OTD, CARs, CSS, financial results).
  • Ensure compliance with company safety rules and regulations by the team

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Experience in engineering and utilization of Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies
  • Experience in quailty control department
  • Understanding of product / process flow
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Mechanical Engineering or similar and 35 years relevant experience
