Center of Excellence, you will form part of one of many Scrum Teams that focus on delivering software solutions to
multiple Business Partners across Thermo Fisher's divisions worldwide.
What will you do?
As a Product Owner, you will work with business owners, architects, product management, and software leaders contributing to vision and program backlog, preparing for program increment planning, and streamlining the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the respective team(s) throughout the product life cycle.
Responsibilities:
Preparing and participating in release planning, roadmap review, and identifying blockers in advance.
Defines iterations and stories for the team(s). Builds, edits, reviews, and reprioritizes the team(s) backlog coordinating dependencies with other Product owners.
Defines stories and provides input for user story details and priorities, establishes story acceptance criteria.
Supports team(s) with their story estimates and sequencing.
Facilitates and leads sprint planning and refinement sessions
May define functional and non-functional requirements as well as the user interface. Identifies gaps between the current system and business/market needs
Coordinates with other product owners on content dependencies
Participate in test case refinement and reviews.
How will you get here?
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Systems, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent engineering
Experience,
Minimum 4 years of experience in areas related to processes, continual improvement, or any area related to it.
Key competencies.
Experience in customer-facing projects preferred.
Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and organizational communication skills
Self-directed, persistent, goal-oriented customer care, urgency sense.
Team player, able to work effectively with others.
Vertical slices, BDD, DDD.
Key Knowledge areas.
Data analysis and interpretation, including, excel or other spreadsheet software.
Process and workflow documentation and definition.
Coaching, mentoring.
Project management.
Working in software development environments.
Use of tracking and documenting tools such as Atlassian tools.
Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development process.
Technical Background.
