JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Data Scientist to guide talented data science teams at Syneos Health.

In this critical role, you will balance hands-on technical work with project management responsibilities to drive the development and execution of our data-driven projects.

Your expertise in both machine learning and optimization techniques will ensure the delivery of innovative and efficient solutions that meet our business objectives.

This leadership position requires a strategic thinker who can oversee projects while fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists in the development of machine learning models and optimization algorithms, ensuring both technical excellence and alignment with business goals.
• Manage the entire lifecycle of data science projects, from problem definition and data collection to model development, evaluation, and deployment.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including business stakeholders and IT, to define project scopes, set timelines, and deliver highimpact data science solutions.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in data science, incorporating new technologies and methodologies to enhance project outcomes.
• Communicate complex datadriven insights and recommendations to senior management, driving strategic decisionmaking based on rigorous analysis.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• A Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data science role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management position.
• Experience managing endtoend data science projects, including stakeholder management and team leadership.
• Proficiency in programming languages and tools used in data science (Python, SQL) and familiarity with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills, capable of leading a team and interacting effectively with varied stakeholders.
