The Product Control Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the bank's books and records in coordination with the Finance team.
The overall objective of this role is to control and support data integrity and general ledger reconciliation, profit attribution and new activity analysis, valuation control and product P&L and balance sheet reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, assess, analyze, and evaluate processes and data
- Identify process gaps and control issues
- Escalate anomalies and issues in an efficient and timely manner
- Interpret data, identify inconsistencies through research and recommend solutions based on analysis
- Develop knowledge of how team interacts with others to accomplish Finance goals
- Develop basic knowledge of industry practices and standards
- Exchange complex information succinctly and with discretion
Qualifications:
- 02 years of relevant experience
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Responsibilities Include:
- Production of daily revenue, validation and reporting of the NAM G10 Markets Treasury business, specifically focused on placements, deposits, sovereign and agency securities, secured financing transactions, interest rate swaps, options, and futures.
- Production of daily and monthend subledger / ledger validation;
- Review and assess sizable balance sheet and supporting regulatory reporting, monthend closing process and quarterly / annual disclosure reporting;
- Understand the Profit Attribution Analysis (PAA) of the portfolio. As well as the daily reconciliation of PAA vs the reported desk revenues;
- Reconciliation of daily risk and positions;
- Daily interaction with other colleagues throughout the organization, including, trading desks, transactors, middle office, risk management, business unit management teams and operations will be necessary to resolve issues and drive change;
- Providing and reviewing analytics / control metrics for the management team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, Finance and / or Accounting degree preferred;
- Advanced degree, CPA, CFA and/or other equivalent degrees / certifications are big pluses;
- Must have strong knowledge in accounting fundamentals, transfer pricing, financial modeling basics, portfolio management and basic understanding of cash flows and asset valuation preferred, particularly with ratesrelated products;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written required;
- Strong MS Office Excel skills a must, Access, PowerPoint and other financial systems are pluses;
- Must have a good eye for detail, but also be able to step back and see the larger strategic picture;
- Must manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines and working under pressure;
