Castings Specialist MX

We are looking for an experienced Castings Specialist to join our team. You will Support development of the Mexico procurement strategy, objectives, and processes for Castings in line with the division's strategies and procurement group. Support suppliers with FA's, PPAP's and critical projects on an as needed basis with a focus on minimizing non-conforming components.

Minimum job Requirements:

• Educated to degree level in engineering,
• Operations, supply chain management, or a related area,
• 5+ years' work experience in a foundry operations environment, supplier development or procurement role.
• Proven track record of delivering on agreed objectives.
• Operational management experience preferred (Supply Chain, Quality), or experience in the primary service delivery of the organization.
• Industrial Equipment Industry Experience
• Fluent in Spanish and basic or intermediate proficiency in English
• Foundry industry knowledge
• Strong technical aptitude with good ability to understand technical drawings and documents.
• Excellent communication skills and even better listening skills.
• Strong negotiation skills to drive supplier development and influence decisions.
• Strategic mindset and problem-solving skills.
• Change management skills and self-awareness to take varying approaches with a dynamic set of stakeholders.
• Good knowledge of QMS's, processes and procedures with Internal Auditor Training or experience preferred.
• SAP Knowledge and experience
• MS Office skills

Language: C1 english.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Support development of the procurement strategy, objectives and processes for Castings in line with the division's strategies and in alignment with the procurement group
• Provide specialist advice, guidance and service on leading practice procurement to all division business units and functions.
• Visit suppliers for FA's, PPAP's, critical orders and product development as required and agreed by stakeholders.
• Conduct supplier owner calls of a monthly basis
• Access and review purchase order related documentation e.g., PO, BoM, drawings, specs, OEDs, ITPs (SAP, OED), supported by receiving factory QA & ORE
• Participate in a weekly planning meeting to update a 4 week forward looking travel plan and make travel arrangements accordingly.
• Initiate, facilitate and or lead Root Cause Analysis of recurring nonconformance's with suppliers.
• Advise, guide, and improve casting processes of different pump components.
• Audit casting supplier processes
• Raise and support supplier improvement needs in Meercat.
