The Opportunity
- "FICO is seeking a senior AWS Cloud Engineer who thrives working in a fast paced state of the art Cloud environment. This position will be heavily involved with the migration of our existing products, as well as the development of new products within our cloud platform" - _Director, Cloud Engineering
What You'll Contribute
- Design, maintain and expand our infrastructure (maintained as IaaC).
- Oversee systems and resources for alerting, logging, backups, disaster recovery, and monitoring.
- Work jointly with other software engineering teams in building faulttolerant & resilient services that are in line with our infrastructure's best practices.
- Improve the performance and durability of our CI/CD pipelines.
- Think with security in your mind all the time.
- You may be asked to be oncall to assist with engineering projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience.
- Ability to design and implement highly automated and holistic solutions.
- Act as a tech lead for the team and possess a strong ability to lead by example.
- Significant experience with distributed systems and container orchestration (maintained or built Kubernetes clusters).
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, Helm, and ArgoCD.
- Strong grasp on CICD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Harness, ArgoCD, Crossplane, etc.
- Strong grasp of Infrastructure as Code (IAC), preferably using Terraform or Crossplane composition.
- Experience hosting/supporting the Atlassian suite of tools; Specifically Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- Scripting knowledge in Python/Ruby/Bash.
- Handson experience with monitoring and logging tools, like Splunk.
