Are you a hands-on technology enthusiast who loves coding, designing, and building new things, and wants to learn new Cloud skills? Do you want to build solutions that scale? We need engineers with the right mix of knowledge and skills in public cloud, Windows and Linux server administration and software development who want to build and operate our services at scale.
About the Role:
In this opportunity as a Senior Cloud Engineer, you:
- We use agile/lean development frameworks like Scrum to manage our work.
- We are driven by quality, not quantity and ensure our services are robust and resilient.
- We automate as much as we can using a heavy integration of pipelines, microservices, and 3rd party SaaS services and custom software when appropriate.
- We produce a lot of data and work with our analysts to make sense of it.
- We understand cloud technologies and platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.We use their APIs and configuration tools.
About You:
You are fit for the role of Senior Cloud Engineer if you have:
- 5+ years progressive technology experience and a drive to build a career working on cloud infrastructure and automation.
- Bachelor of Computer Science or related field; or equivalent level of experience.
- Moderate to advanced coding skills in in using any highlevel or advanced language such as Python, Ruby, PowerShell,.NET, C#, JavaScript, PHP, or Java.
- Experience writing and maintaining cloud automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using technologies such as Terraform, BICEP, or CloudFormation.
- Experience building Machine Images in the cloud.
- A solid understanding of TCP/IP networking.
- Strong Windows or Linux server administration skills.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Experience with security concepts in cloud and on the operating system.
- Experience with CI/CD concepts and pipeline development.
- Experience with OS patch management and patch automation.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate large, complex designs in easy terms.
- Ability to coach other team members, guide them through complex issues, and help upskill you and your peers.
