The Operational Risk Intermediate Analyst role is perfect for those looking to develop professionally in the field. You'll be tackling most problems on your own, with the freedom to solve complex issues. Your knowledge will blend a deep understanding of a specific area with industry standards, ensuring you contribute effectively to the team's objectives. Expect to use analytical thinking and data analysis tools, paying close attention to detail to make informed judgments. You'll be interacting closely with core business activities, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to breakdown information systematically.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to applying operational risk policies, technology, and governance processes to minimize losses from internal processes and emerging risks.
  • Drive actions to address root causes of operational risk losses by challenging current and proposed practices.
  • Provide governance and oversight on technology operational risk.
  • Execute the Managers Control Assessment (MCA) program promptly.
  • Collaborate with business and line control officers to address deficiencies.
  • Implement Corrective Action Plans (CAP) for managing control issues.
  • Perform additional assigned duties.
  • Assess risk appropriately when making business decisions to safeguard the firm's reputation, clients, and assets.
  • Review, support, and follow up on Operational Risk Events.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of previous experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, adaptability to change, and ability to multitask.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and collaborative work approach.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a complex organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge in project management and MCA.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience.

Intermediate English - Advanced level desirable

Excellent analytical skills

Experience in handling Risk Matrices.

Knowledge in MC
