Responsibilities

Due to growth, Volex Tijuana is looking for a Buyer with experience in companies in the automotive sector.

  • Will support a wide range of Purchasing team tasks in a manufacturing environment sector Automotive.
  • Follows up on purchase orders placed with external suppliers so that commitments to plant customers are met.
  • Support in ordering materials requested for production and monitoring the process of completing purchase orders
  • Maintains raw material arrival records up to date by timely updating open orders in the system
  • Coordinates with the different planners to synchronize the flow of material and fulfill the commitment with the client.
  • Ensures that inventory levels are maintained according to the established goal.
  • Work on strategies that help you carry out your work efficiently and with good quality.
  • Has the capacity and criteria to negotiate special cases with the supplier.
  • Review and resolve supplier invoices that have any problem of discrepancy in price and/or quantity received, as well as information that does not match the system.
  • Monitors rejected materials (MRB) in coordination with the quality department.
  • Ensures that the standard operating procedures (SOP) of the Purchasing Function are maintained.
  • Is responsible for executing the release of purchase orders, expedite, push and/or cancel action messages suggested by the system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in purchasing management.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • 3 Years in an
    automotive company(manufacturing environment) similar position is required.
  • ERP knowledge
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills are needed.
