Job Title: Project Manager MEP - Turner & Townsend

The Project Manager MEP (Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing) is responsible for analyzing electromechanical and specialized installations to ensure they meet the technical specifications of the project and Mexican legislation. They are also in charge of preparing reports, monitoring contractor craftsmen qualifications, and suggesting improvement actions.

The MEP role involves overseeing pipe and mechanical disciplines, without directly monitoring the work site on a daily basis.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate advanced knowledge in various construction and site support activities, including:

  • Capable of analyzing and evaluating construction drawings, technical specifications, and scopes of work on-site, comparing them to Mexican and client standards.
  • Skilled in developing construction schedules, cost estimates, supporting value engineering, and contributing to risk analysis.
  • Experienced in safety standards, best practices implementation, installation of process equipment, and inspection of fabrication and installation of piping and equipment.
  • Proficient in planning and executing commissioning activities, work planning, scheduling, quality requirements, and managing work for self and team.
  • Ability to facilitate design reviews, interpret scopes of work, clarify contractor doubts, and review bids.
  • Effective communication with client operations, preparing reports, attending meetings, and more.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional experience as a Project Manager in MEP design and construction for industrial projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with Electric, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Automation Systems.
  • Commissioning experience required, PMI certification is a plus.
  • Experience with LEED projects and proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of project management tools like Microsoft Project and Primavera P6, AutoCAD, BIM, and Microsoft Office tools.
