Your New Role

The Sr. Financial Analyst role will support WBD LATAM Sports business.

This position will be responsible for the preparation of accurate, timely, and relevant financial reporting including ad hoc analysis and monthly forecast reporting to operations to aid in business decisions.


Your Role Accountabilities:

  • Experience in accounting, finance, operations or other relevant analytic business experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential as well as strong initiative and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (intermediateadvance) and other financial data analysis tools and techniques. Demonstrated experience in financial modelling.
  • Critical thinker and strong problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to frame issues, articulate findings and present optimal solutions.
  • Proven ability to build confidence and trust with department members and external business partners.
  • Experience working accurately and efficiently with high volumes of data under strict deadlines.
  • Motivated by challenging, highenergy environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, very detailed oriented, and deadline driven.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 34 years in accounting, finance, operations or other relevant analytic business experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field is required.
  • Experience in Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Planning, and PeopleSoft are a plus.
  • Interest in Sports is strongly preferred (almost mandatory). Experience in Entertainment industry is a plus.
II. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual forecast process for sports capex /cash investment and content amortization expense. Review all contracts and amendments for budget and rights information. Demonstrate and maintain high standards of accountability to deliver superior quality financial information on timely basis to Sports FP&A.

  • Reconcile actuals vs prior forecast/budget/prior year and provide variance explanations. Conduct Ad Hoc analysis as needed.
Participate in assigned sports network meetings such as, but not limited to:
Sports Production / Cash Flow / Programming Financials Review.

  • Support development of systems, tools, and processes to facilitate efficient and accurate analysis. Seak for constant process and routines improvements in the duties and task under its scope.
