Description

:
The Operations Manager is responsible for fostering a People First culture while leading a production team in planning, organizing, and executing production plans to drive continuous improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and costs. This role ensures their area's production commitments are met, goals achieved, and team members developed for future growth. The position reports to the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities:
These duties are not exhaustive; additional duties may be assigned:

  • Foster and lead by example a safe and sustainable work environment for all team members
  • Ensure products, services, and operation's documentation meet quality standards set forth for the organization
  • Develop and lead action plans to ensure operation goals are met or exceeded
  • Establish operational KPIs and action plans, delegate to and empower team members, review periodically to ensure resource focus and timely improvement
  • Actively participate in developing and executing business strategies for the operation
  • Act as a change agent to ensure lean manufacturing principles, effective problem-solving, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure talent acquisition, retention, and development aligns with the operation's needs

Authorities:

  • Report and/or stop any activity that may jeopardize the safety of individuals in the plant
  • Authority to halt processes or work activities that may compromise product quality or client requirements
  • Decision-making authority to ensure business success within procedures, corporate policies, and legal stipulations

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or related Engineering field
  • Years in management positions in a similar manufacturing operation
  • Strong lean manufacturing knowledge and experience
  • Desirable certifications in: Six Sigma, CPIM APICS, Project Management, etc
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Ability to travel internationally
