Here you'll interact daily with team members during the problem resolution process and will partner with other key stakeholders to support our internal customers and their responsibilities.

How will you make a difference?


As a member of the Global Operations Equipment group, you will be responsible for ideation, design, implementation of critical strategic initiatives.

We have production facilities across the globe. You will help bring a strong focus to continuously improving both our team and our processes.

What do we want to know about you?

The role will lead material availability projects to keep the production process continuously supplied with materials. In this role you will drive to improve supplier OTD%, material availability by reducing overdue and late Pos.

In this role you will use your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and long-term business goals.


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four years technical or business degree or equivalent experience
  • Four years minimum sourcing and/or manufacturing operations experience
  • Travel requirements 2035%
  • Project management experience in establishing Gantt charts, timelines, schedules for process improvements and qualifications.
  • Knowledge of Sourcing qualification process, Materials and fulfillment standard work, WABTEC materials operations.
What will your typical day look like?

  • Coordinate and facilitate the critical material and parts needs for our WABTEC freight and mining production sites and prioritize those needs for the critical suppliers being worked.
  • Facilitate production allocation with key suppliers as needed.
  • Drive regular operating rhythm with team and key stakeholders on supplier improvements and progress.
  • Assess critical supplier's capacity relative to the needed support to fulfillment current and forecasted demands.
  • Develop process improvement plans for critical suppliers to increase line rate, throughput, and capacity for our WABTEC freight and mining operations. Execute and manage those improvements to meet our needs.
  • If needed, lead second and third source development as needed, with sourcing and sourcing quality engagement to "derisk" sole and single source suppliers for certain part numbers. In addition, develop suppliers that increase capacity for certain part families and increase our material availability and improved promise dates.
  • Continue to assess regularly new parts at risk from the WABTEC shop operations and add/modify priorities based on changing needs.
  • Visit critical suppliers and personally drive all Diversified products suppliers causing material availability issues.
  • Oracle expertise to assist in cont. improvement and risk assessment reporting

  • Exposure to shop floor requires wearing PPE
  • Walking, climbing, stooping, stooping, bending, lifting is all part of the hands on learning process
