Key role responsibilities

Inventory Optimization: Review min/max reorder report daily and make correction to ensure proper inventory levels

Ensure compliance of (SOP's) standard operating procedures

Leader in the training and continuous improvement in the department and the correct administration of the warehouse / Tool Crib.

The MRO Purchasing Supervisor and the buyers research quotes for maintenance products and negotiate pricing with vendors.

The ultimate goal for the MRO Supervisor is to reduce the cost of maintaining existing equipment, so negotiating with vendors for bulk discounts and finding the lowest-cost materials within quality standards is critical for the position's success.

Prepare periodic reports of the activities carried out (KPI's).

Responsible for monitoring compliance and establishment of procurement and service contracts, as well as being the leader of the plant's service tenders.

Provide daily, weekly job and project assignments to associates

Perform audits on storeroom operations i.e., receiving, cycle counts, disbursements. etc.

Resolve discrepancies and data integrity issues

Work with the Managers of New Products, Projects and Engineering in the successful launch of new products and / or engineering changes, minimizing obsolete material to the maximum.

Lead programs/ projects with suppliers and commodity managers

Collaborate with other departments to ensure all task and project timing are met

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field is an asset.

3+ years of experience in material distribution is required.

Must be a self-starter and possess excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, JDE or ERP system).

Confirmed analytic and problem solving skills.

Proven skills in attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to recommend and present ideas and solutions to groups at all levels of the organization.

Ability to project future business process needs and services across the organization.

Strong organization, planning, and decision making ability.

Ability to multi-task and work independently.

Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships, both internal and external, and establish credibility with business partners.
