Responsable de la administración del departamento asegurando que éste haga llegar los materiales requeridos para la operación de la planta en los níveles esperados de calidad y a un costo razonable.

Coordina con el Gerente de Materiales el correcto control y flujo de los materiales hacia la planta y con el Gerente de Logística para asegurar el cumplimiento en materia de declaraciones aduaneras por importaciones.


Principales Funciones, Responsabilidades y Autoridad del puesto


Asegurar que los precios de los insumos directos e indirectos de producción mantengan el nível de competitividad y calidad frente a otros proveedores.

Trabajar con las áreas de Ingeniería, Logística y Materiales con la intención de dar la atención oportuna a las diferentes necesidades propias de la operación que se relacionan con el abasto, para no causar paros de línea por falta de materiales.

Evaluar y seleccionar a los proveedores externos de acuerdo con las necesidades de la planta.

Revisa los inventarios de los almacenes y hace lo posible por mantener los níveles establecidos Mantiene una comunicación cercana con Recibo, Almacén, Producción, para poder cumplir con los requerimientos del cliente en cuanto a fechas de entrega, cantidad, calidad y números de parte.

Coordina, con la ayuda de Recibo y Logística, la llegada de materiales para asegurar el abasto a las líneas de producción.

Monitorear diariamente los indicadores de operación del área de Compras para detectar áreas de oportunidad en busca de una mejora continua.

Monitorear los tiempos muertos o de paro por causas de su departamento, de forma que se permita realizar análisis completos de las áreas de oportunidad existentes y así poder solucionarlas.

Analiza los reportes de producción, material corto y de programación buscando mejora continua Asegurar que el personal bajo su responsabilidad trabaje en un ambiente seguro.

Promover una cultura de seguridad y participar activamente en las actividades que tiendan a mejorar las condiciones de trabajo de la planta.

  • Asegurar la implementación y mantenimiento de los procedimientos del departamento de Compras y Programación, de acuerdo con el estándar ISO 9001 versión actual
  • Cumplir oportunamente con los procedimientos de ISO9001 versión actual que apliquen.

Impacto que tiene el puesto sobre la calidad del Producto


El puesto genera una coordinación directa entre departamentos de servicio de Materiales cuyo fin es de asegurar los recursos necesarios para poder cumplir los requerimientos, en este caso de productos de los clientes.

Debe procurar que las compras se hagan de acuerdo a presupuestos de operación.

Fallas en el desempeño de este puesto causarían un incremento en el costo, retrasos en la toma de decisiones y falta de confiabilidad en el manejo de la información del departamento.


Responsabilidades ante el SGA (Sistema de Gestión Ambiental)
Notificar cualquier desviación al sistema. Participar en la revisión del sistema. Promover recursos para el cumplimiento del sistema. Participar en la programación de Capacitación del sistema. Promover la capacitación específica a las diferentes funciones para el correcto funcionamiento del sistema.

En caso de detectar un comportamiento inseguro, observar una condición de riesgo o daño al medio ambiente en la estación de trabajo debe detener labores y dar aviso al departamento de Seguridad y Medio Ambiente.
