We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join the Thomson Reuters Shared Capabilities Group in our Hyderabad Office with strong technical skills who is ready to lead large scale projects including managing stakeholder relationships, conducting analysis and presenting results, this could be the right job for you.

This Group is responsible for building and operating a suite of best-in-class foundational capabilities that power our products, APIs, and digital sites.

We seek a candidate with demonstrable, proven expertise in Cloud application architecture, microservice architecture, design, and implementation of various distributed and web-based applications.

About the role :

In this opportunity as Lead Software Engineer, you will :

• Participate in the creation of a new project with great impact for the company.
• Write code that establish and enhance coding specifications, typically for software programs and systems that have little or no precedent.
• Deliver software features with exceptional quality, meeting designated release plans and delivery commitments.
• Lead multiple and / or significant projects, programs and business initiatives, demonstrating creativity and ingenuity
• Deliver end-to-end technical solutions and solves complex problems that may be ambiguous in nature
• Determine work priorities based on general direction from managers
• May manage budget for projects or programs within area
• Influence multiple cross functional project teams to execute and adopt a point of view for ideas and initiatives
• Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
• Train and mentors colleagues including Sr. Software Engineers
• Plan, design, develop and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products

About you :

You're a fit for the role of Lead Software Engineer if your background includes :

• 8+ years of experience in Software Development using Java or C#.
• Experience with MS Sharepoint, Sharepoint Embedded, Graph API.
• Experience with at least one public cloud AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
• Experience building cloud-native applications using technologies like Serverless and containers.
• Experience building Highly Scalable RESTful microservices using Event Driven architecture
• Experience with one or more ORM systems like Hibernate, NHibernate, Entity Framework, etc
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL DBMS. PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, etc. .
• Understanding of security best practices for web development.
• Experience with Workflow engines like Azure Logic Apps, Workato, Camunda, and Netflix Conductoz.
• At least 2+ experience managing team members and leading projects with complete ownership and delivering them on time with quality
• Must have experience using containers and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI / CD pipelines and building tools like MS Build, Gradle, Maven, etc.
