JOB SUMMARY

Given EarnIn's exclusive presence in the mobile sphere, the mobile engineering team plays a vital role in enhancing and maintaining our exceptional iOS and Android applications. The primary objective is to deliver a seamless mobile experience that facilitates easy access to funds for our customers. Members of the mobile team need to prioritize user experience and possess a deep understanding of mobile-specific challenges, ranging from network efficiency to battery optimization. As the most customer-centric unit, the mobile engineering team significantly influences customer perceptions of our brand.

The mobile platform team shoulders distinct responsibilities focused on proactively enhancing the app's architecture, tools, and frameworks to elevate both the quality of our mobile application and the developer experience, all while aligning with broader organizational objectives.

This role will ideally be a hybrid position based in our Mexico City office as part of our growing regional presence. Compensation is commensurate with position, seniority, and location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the server engineering team to design and implement new APIs for seamless communication with the mobile applications
  • Establish a scalable mobile architecture to ensure organizational agility as we expand
  • Guide decision-making on development and testing strategies for mobile app projects
  • Enforce engineering best practices to uphold project quality standards
  • Take decisive action and exhibit a results-oriented approach, whether working independently or within teams
  • Provide leadership within the mobile engineering domain to enhance team skills and processes
  • Develop and conduct Unit and Automation Tests to validate new code additions
  • Implement analytics to measure the efficacy of new and existing features in enhancing the customer experience

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Swift programming and familiarity with reactive and functional programming concepts
  • Experience with various application architectures used in iOS development (e.g., MVVM, MVC, MVP)
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices and full software development life cycle
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience
