Telephonist, Operator
We are hiring a

Telephonist, Operator who will be supporting on connecting the different departments upcoming calls.

Your activities daily will be:

  • Answering and connecting calls using a computerized switchboard system
  • Testing lines and reporting faults
  • Updating directories
  • Taking and passing on messages
  • Carrying out basic administration tasks
  • Operates intercom equipment and / or speakers to provide information
  • Follows the protocols and procedures in matters of Integral Security and confidential use of information, established by the organization
  • Maintains equipment and work site in order, reporting any anomaly.
  • Maintains knowledge of the information that must be provided to users, according to the objectives of their position.
  • Guide internal and external users
  • Perform any other related task assigned to them

Who you are

Required Skills and Competencies

  • High School diploma
  • Previous experience in telephonist
  • Advanced English written and spoken fluency is required
  • Full time availability from 8am to 5pm onsite

  • You have excellent communication skills for interaction with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong customer service skills are critical for success in this position.
  • Good hearing and a clear telephone voice
  • A good standard of spoken and written English
  • The ability to deal with difficult calls in a calm and professional manner
  • An awareness of confidentiality issues
  • Basic computer and keyboard skills
  • Ability to withstand monotony.
  • Memory capacity over numbers and words
  • Telephone mechanisms knowledge
