GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Ensures compliance with health, safety and environmental objectives, programs and procedures.

Follows up the activities within the EHS work plans, adhering to the policies and standards established by the plant, supervising the execution of the technical-administrative processes that make up each of the areas in order to guarantee legal compliance and the risk elimination.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:


Ensures that the internal management and activities of the different waste management processes of the company (RP, RME, RBI, Descarga Agua, etc.) comply with the criteria established by the different laws and regulations of the applicable government agencies ( JMAS, SDUE, PROFEPA, SEMARNAT).

Verify compliance and adherence to health, safety and environmental programs.

Guarantees the availability, maintenance, order and functionality of the different mobile fire prevention and fighting teams as well as emergency response resources (stretchers, eyewash stations, etc.).

Collects, documents and keeps available relevant information from the different areas of the department in the company's databases: risk management, waste management (air, soil, water, etc.), audits, corporate reports, etc.

Participate and ensure the closure of corrective actions derived from inspections, audits, work risks, etc.

Interacts with inspectors and government representatives, SEMARNAT, JMAS, STPS, PROFEPA, SDUE, CIVIL PROTECTION, etc., attending visits and following up and closing any administrative action.

Provides technical leadership and functional guidance to staff to ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental criteria as applicable.
Participates and ensures that the processes, operations, machines and tools have the required risk analysis and EHS validations.
Monitors, oversees and ensures the validity of the different permits and environmental and operational licenses of the plant.
Follow up on the annual EHS training program, ensuring its compliance in a timely manner.
Performs activities assigned by management to support plant operations.
He carries out his work in a safe, efficient and ethical manner.
