The Joplin Youth Coordinator/ Campus Support is positioned to provide support and assistance to the James River Youth Joplin Pastor and provide support and assistance to the Joplin Campus in various duties as assigned.

  • Assign Joplin Campus Dream Team (students, practicum, pastor student hosts, residents, adult hosts, etc.) to weekly serve times in F1/GO.
  • Email weekly Joplin Campus Dream Team Assignments to Coaches, Adult Host Team Coach, and Joplin Campus Leads.
  • Ensure Joplin Dream Team Coaches are in place for the service. Find a replacement if needed.
  • Ensure Joplin VIP Connect and Check-in areas are staffed with Dream Team and assist as needed.
  • Assist in overseeing the set-up of VIP/Check-in areas by maintaining, organizing, and stocking needs ensuring it is neat and orderly.
  • Ensure an Adult Host or Dream Teamer is in place at Check-in and Auditorium Hosting position.
  • Create and maintain a follow up system for Dream Team attendance for all campuses.
  • Assist with printing and preparing Joplin service materials and handouts .
  • Maintain Dream Team and Life Group F1/GO records by updating them as needed.
  • Communicate with Pastoral Leads if a Dream Teamer is struggling, sick, or in need of pastoral care.
  • Work with the Office Manager in creating all Dream Team mass email communications.
  • Assist with leading/developing student leader program.
  • Assign all VIP/Altar/Baptism interactions to corresponding pastors in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all VIP/Altar follow-up is handled in a timely manner.
  • Collect VIP/Salvation and Baptism numbers and send out email/post card follow-up.

Grow Track:

  • Present at Joplin Campus Grow Track Week 4 and connect with potential adult and student Dream Team candidates.
  • Responsible for tracking, assimilation, and communication with all students and Dream Teams going through the Grow Track process by working closely with the Connections department to see students and Dream Teams through to week 4 graduation.
  • Complete Dream Team Prospect interactions within 24 hours.
  • Assign new Grow Track graduates to a Dream Team and connect with the coordinating Dream Team Coach.
  • Coordinate with new Dream Team Candidates via email and/or phone. Set up a meeting time for orientation and assimilation with their Dream Team Coach and team assignment.
  • Ensure connection is made with coach for training.
  • Follow up with the Dream Team Coach 2 weeks later to ensure the Dream Teamer is doing well on the team.
  • Get New Dream Teamer a James River Youth Dream Team T-shirt.

Life Group Responsibilities:

  • Follow up of all Life Group Leader/Student attendee communication.
  • Attendance records for all Life Group's.
  • Support regarding Life Group connect, recruitment, and training.

Event Support:

  • Assist to support Pastoral Leads with all Joplin Youth Event related preparedness.
  • Help Office Manager with tracking, reporting, and record keeping of all registration numbers.
  • Assist Office Manager with parent/student communication as it relates to registration for events.
  • Assisting James River Youth Team with any special events as needed:
    • 6th Grade Orientation Plan
    • James River College Practicum
    • Senior High Fall Retreat
    • Senior High Graduation events
    • James River Youth Camps

Joplin Campus Support:

  • Monthly Saturday Serve Coordinator.
  • All Church Event Support.
Job Requirements
  • Two (2) years of general clerical experience; OR
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of modern office methods and procedures, filing, telephone techniques, and office equipment; as well as English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Ability to get along well with others and handle confidential matters.
  • Ability to manage time and multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally orally and in writing.
  • PC skills including spreadsheet, database query and word processing.
  • Must be punctual, pleasant, and tactful with professional appearance and conduct.
  • Exhibit professionalism and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Capacity to interact positively with and provide service to others at all levels within JRC.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervising personnel, coworkers, civic organizations, business professionals, and the general public.
  • Exhibit good judgment, honesty, integrity, responsibility, and punctuality through the utilization of professional work standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting critical deadlines.
  • Must have strong analytical skills.
