Subsea7 is offering opportunities for onshore Data Processors to join their UK & Global IRM team located in Merida, Mexico. Successful candidates can also work remotely from home within specified hub locations utilizing cutting-edge cloud technologies.
These roles have been introduced due to a shift from offshore to onshore support, enhancing the global remote processing and reporting service.
Reporting to the Data Delivery Manager, the selected candidate will handle data processing and reporting tasks to support Subsea 7 and Seaway7 Survey and Inspection activities.
Collaborating closely with online teams, the main focus will be on maintaining data quality, processing and charting data, producing final reports, and deliverables.
Job Responsibilities:
- Processing hydrographic survey and inspection data
- Video review and eventing
- Creating charts, drawings, data visualization, and interpretation
- Implementing GIS Technology for map production
- Reviewing, quantifying, and reporting on acquired data
- Assisting with Survey data-related Data Governance processes
- Managing File Transfer systems for raw data delivery
- Document preparation including procedures, guidelines, and manuals
- Supporting Processing of INS derived data
- Assisting with Processing of Dimensioning Control data
- Maintaining detailed handover notes and processing log
- Developing experience in Survey software and techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSC in earth science, geography, mathematics
- Masters in GIS (desirable)
- Strong computing skills in office applications and software packages
- Previous experience in Geophysical or Construction Data Processing
- Proficient CAD and GIS skills
- Understanding of survey sensor calibrations
- Knowledge of specialized survey software products
- Familiarity with survey data processing philosophies
- Knowledge of automated processing techniques, Machine Vision, and Machine Learning
- Understanding of cloud computing and hosting services
- Technical problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Creative thinking and ability to adapt ideas
- Web-based technologies for data manipulation
- Professional approach to work
- Exposure to various data processing applications
