TEST ANALYST
Purpose
- Identifies Test Conditions and scenarios from the solution requirements, designs test cases (positive and negative) based on specified business processes and requirements.
- Creates Functional Test Cases, executes Test Cases and/or Test Scripts and record Test Results. Creates defect reports in sufficient detail for investigation.
- Collaborates to investigate and resolve defects.
- Executes Tests to verify effect resolution.
Main functions
- Review and analyze system requirements and collaborate with team members (Business Analysts, Developers, other testers) to define and/or understand acceptance criteria
- Develop test cases and test scenarios based on the system requirements
- Define test data for test execution
- Peer review the test coverage and test cases produced by other Test Team members
- Contribute to the Test Plan
- Execute test cases as per the agreed testing plan, log and retest defects
- Assist with Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting of defects
- Participate in defect triage meetings providing defect updates
- Contribute to test status and summary reports
- Understanding and working towards achieving quality objectives
- Supporting SIT and/or UAT
- Interact with Developers and Business Analysts
- Support System testing
Professional Skills and Competences
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree or technical college equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- 34 or more years' experience in testing with proven experience as a tester
- Familiar with Agile frameworks and other methodologies (waterfall, hybrid)
- Working knowledge of test management tools (e.g. HP ALM, Xray, TFS, Azure DevOps) and other Agile tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
- Advanced English (verbal and written)
- Strong communication (verbal and written)
- Positive and proactive attitude for the working environment
- Team player and able to work in a collaborative environment
- Extraordinary attention to details and followthrough skills, ensuring that all defects and issues are identified and resolved accordingly
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
- Selftaught person.
PREFERRED:
- Ability to develop new skills including test automation (RESTbased / SOAP API, frontend with Selenium / UFT / open source frameworks)
- Experience with Endtoend Testing
- TMMI/ISTQB knowledge
- Intermediate-Advanced English
