Position Summary- Assists Plant Controller in multiple areas of accounting, including variance analysis, sales analysis, standard cost development, inventory control, PPV analysis, and scrap analysis.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage monthend closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports for plant
- Prepares all appropriate general ledger entries and monthly reconciliations
- Monitors/Reconciles inventory cycle count program and develop program for remaining materials
- Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, production, and labor hours
- Assist with data collection to support budgets and forecasts
- Capital project cost tracking and monitoring
- Directs preparation of Budget in tandem with annual Cost Roll and prepares necessary supporting documentation
- Prepares monthend corporate reports (inventory, variances, sales/cost of sales activity, etc.)
- Analyze plant labor, scrap, operational spending and inventory transactions for optimal manufacturing levels.
- Ensures internal & external controls established for audit requirements, responsible for SOX compliance testing & documentation.
- Special assignments and/or projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Position requires at least ten (23) years' experience in an accounting position preferably with a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Possess a strong understanding of all of the financial and operating aspects of the manufacturing areas of responsibility.
- Cost accounting experience recommended.
- Organized and detail oriented with ability to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy of deliverables.
- Ability to effectively communicate and work closely with management, peers and staff.
- Demonstrated expertise in MS Office and SAP financial software.
