Your key responsibilities

  • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of the Workday payroll module.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to discern business needs and translate them into effective Workday configurations and enhancements within the payroll domain.
  • Provide ongoing support to internal users by addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and resolving them promptly.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate the functionality and accuracy of the configured Workday Payroll system.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders during user acceptance testing (UAT) to address feedback and ensure a seamless implementation.
  • Conduct training sessions for internal users on the usage and functionality of the Workday Payroll system.
  • Create and maintain training materials and documentation for continual reference.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure data integrity, compliance, and optimal performance within payroll processes.
  • Stay abreast of Workday updates, trends, and best practices to recommend innovative Payroll solutions.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Workday Payroll Certification (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 310 years of progressive experience working with Workday, focusing specifically on Payroll implementation and support.
  • Strong understanding of Workday Payroll and its interdependencies with Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence, and other crossfunctional capabilities.
  • Experience with Payroll regulatory requirements (Tax, Garnishments, Common Pay Master), retirement benefits (401K, etc.), payroll processing, FLSA, Unions/Collective Bargaining Agreements, and payroll accounting.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll checklists, earnings and deductions, pay groups, general ledger, costing allocations, payroll reports, audit alerts, approval processes, and security rules (required).
  • Experience in PECI/PICOF.
  • Indepth understanding of Workday Payroll processes, configurations, and optimizations.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and present technical information to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
