Main Responsibilities:

  • Plans, designs and implements material replenishment processes relative to current production and new product programs, including developing and driving execution of plan for every part, to achieve lean manufacturing and total lowest landed cost. This level plans materials for pre
- production builds and manages end-to-end material flow design and optimization for the factory.

  • Develops, executes, owns, and audits material replenishment methodology, strategy and guidelines, i.e., sequence, kit, controlled delivery by build schedule.
  • Manages and coordinates plan for every part and storage solutions, including raw inprocess sizing and total replenishment cost optimization.
  • Collaborates with Supply Management on replenishment parameters, i.e., order frequency and quantity.
  • Works in alignment with Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Management to define optimal line side quantity and lead implementation of preferred material replenishment strategies to support continuous improvement in material availability at point of use and first pass yield.
  • Serves as the material flow and production control PDP core and launch team member integrating with new product program builds, planning and setup of replenishment strategy policies, and order fulfillment input into total cost. Is liaison between Manufacturing Engineering, material flow and Supply Management for layouts, replenishment, and order quantities.
  • Manages material flow design and optimization including resource requirements and dock door planning.
  • Provides team leadership in efforts to drive, align, and monitor performance for cProject workflow for products, as well as planning activities for department layout in alignment with current and new product changes.
  • Drive order fulfillment input into factory master planning and EPDP to enable a more robust, efficient and effective material transition from the product development process to the order fulfillment processes.

  • Knowledge of kanban and other delivery methods. Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others.
  • Understands the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP). Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
  • Understanding, Lean Manufacturing, Justin
  • Time, Kanban, Demand Flow Technology.
  • Understanding of bills of material.
  • Ability to read prints.
  • SAP knowledge

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Analytical skills.
  • Understands the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP).
  • Manufacturing and/or operations experience.
  • Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases. (+5 years)
  • Experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools. (+5 years)
  • Experience with In Process Kanban calculations. (+5 years)

Education:

  • Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience.
  • University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
