Responsibilities:

  • Oversee onboarding of new employees, ensuring they are properly introduced to the company culture, values, and policies.
  • Manage offboarding processes, ensuring exit interviews are conducted and insights are utilized for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain deep connections with Universities, student groups, and other academia-based avenues to promote Smith
  • Act as a point of contact and provide guidance and support to employees on a range of HR-related topics, including but not limited to: policies, benefits, career progression and similar topics
  • Utilize WorkDay software to maintain employee records, track performance evaluations, monitor HR metrics, and generate data-driven reports.
  • Partner with management to develop HR talent and retention strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Advise managers on performance management issues, employee relations concerns, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and revision of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with the HR team on payroll, benefits administration, and other HR programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resources role with a focus on recruiting.
  • Proficient in using WorkDay software for HR and Recruiting purposes
  • Proven experience with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Strong understanding of local and national HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with high levels of confidentiality and discretion.
