NAC Mexico Capital Engineer

Position Overview
As a technical support and project engineer, you will play a crucial role in implementing capital projects across all NAC Mexico plants to align with NOM-01-SEMARNAT-2021 standards. Additionally, you will provide support to NAC and corporate EHS teams, as well as collaborate with corporate wastewater SME on environmental initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee technical studies, submittals, and designs for NAC Mexico sites to ensure compliance with NOM-01-SEMARNAT-2021.
- Ensure that engineering activities meet IP's contract requirements and project timelines.
- Adhere to IP's policies regarding cost and budget for project designs.
- Support documentation preparation for the IP Project Delivery Process and regulatory permits.
- Supervise engineering calculations and estimates for projects.
- Coordinate construction services, manage project activities, and implement project engineering procedures.
- Assist in contract proposals, review specifications and drawings, and maintain project timelines.
- Provide regular updates to management on project progress and address any issues to prevent delays.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in water and sewer analysis reports.
- Familiarity with box manufacturing processes.
- Strong skills in CAD software, Civil 3D, and Microsoft programs.
- Effective written and oral communication abilities.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems in various situations.
Education and Experience Requirements
Minimum Bachelor's degree in engineering. At least four years of experience in engineering or project management, preferably in wastewater treatment systems engineering.
Main Technical Onboarding Activities
- Get to know all plant and corporate stakeholders.
- Visit plants to understand technical aspects.
- Hold meetings with key team members to discuss projects.
- Review proposals for wastewater treatment system upgrades.
- Assess current conditions of wastewater treatment systems.
- Analyze completed reports and studies.

- Create project Gantt chart with main activities.
- Develop detailed budgets for each facility.
- Initiate conversations with potential vendors.
- Create upgraded system drawings.
- Prepare projects for the upcoming year.
