The Purchasing team value add by:

  • Developing and maintaining working relations with assigned suppliers
  • Monitoring stock and inventories in local warehouses, planning quantities of parts and materials needed
  • Negotiating contracts and specific delivery conditions
  • Ensuring timely procurement and order management for proper delivery
  • Managing supplier performance reporting and addressing claims

Job responsibilities include:

  • Procuring low-volume materials, parts, or services for the assigned plant or site
  • Utilizing frame contracts or occasionally buying from other local or regional sources
  • Planning needs, monitoring local inventories, and placing procurement orders accordingly
  • Participating in supplier or claims management measures
  • Engaging stakeholders for procurement support and information

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of import/export processes
  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
