Purpose of the Job:

Education Level & Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related financial field.

3-5 years of experience in financial analysis or closely related discipline.

Deep understanding in accounting processes (accounting records, accruals, month-end closing), and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with commercial leaders to drive operating performance our sales channels.
  • Analyze, validate, and reconcile data through our current ERP and Data systems, and aligned with commercial teams.
  • Provide financial analysis on a monthly basis of revenue and expense actuals vs budget to commercial heads including assessment of expense savings and controls, to drive profitable growth.
  • Assist with management reporting and ad-hoc analysis to commercial heads.
  • Partner with accounting and commercial heads to help all stakeholders understand and accurately provide expense accruals to reflect accurate accounting during month-end close processes.
  • Ensure planning cycle (budget) and month-end closing deadlines are met by facilitating and coordinating efforts across commercial and accounting teams to gather required data.
  • Identify and improve operational processes, automating as many manual processes as possible.

Technical knowledge

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and any ERP system (Oracle NetSuite would be an asset), including the ability to build and navigate efficiently across robust data sets.
  • Ability to build cross-functional partnerships and work collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in order to analyze data and requirements to find appropriate solutions.
  • Very high attention to detail and accuracy and strong analytical skills required.
