Vantive: A New Company Built On Our Legacy
Baxter is on a journey to separate our ~$5B Kidney Care segment into a standalone company. Vantive* will build on our nearly 70-year legacy in acute therapies and home and in-center dialysis to provide best-in-class care to the people we serve. This role will act as System Owners for applications\platforms assigned to him in his\her specific domain. This role is responsible for capturing, understand, and document business objectives, specifications, and technical design on small to medium sized projects based on a solid understanding of business requirements. Analyze business needs, document requirements, build test scenarios and complete unit and system integration testing. Ensure that applications meet all IT compliance and security requirements, lead project tasks and provide regular status. Become an SME (Subject Matter Expert) of applications and partner with application support teams or vendor for issue resolution.
What you'll be doing
Identify, assess, and resolve business problems for assigned applications and processes Collaborate with Product Owner, Business Analysts, and other IT functions on medium and large sized system improvements. Develop Standard Operating Procedures to standardize tasks for consistency in operations Work with 3rd party, other IT teams, and/or business partner when issues are found; lead issues to closure. Helps build, lead, and implement IT Controls, validation and change control, policies, and procedures. Put together work plans, track project work. Independently handle own work. Serve as product engineer for agile or SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) based project teams. Communicate status, solutions, and concerns. Disseminate information in a timely manner within the team. Perform tasks with minimum direction, independently lead complex problems, guide others Ensure that Applications belong his\her portfolio are fully documented and led in all Application Inventory Systems (CMDB, Archer, Knowledge Article in Service Now, etc...) Responsible for to setting plans and goals for their product and for their teams, constantly communicating and building consensus to meet the established outcomes, with PMs and BRMs. Support BRM community in providing demo to Business on applications\platform belong his\her responsibility. Define features and continuously make prioritization with the PM to identify the right initiatives to focus on and add to the product roadmap to ensure there is a constant flow of value creation Support EA in analyzing Applications capabilities and drive standardization among application in his\her domain portfolio Accountable and sometimes responsible for prototypes, flow diagrams, use case documents, story maps, and mockups to help visualize and describe the feature of the product. Identify potential technology options and complete IT cost assessments with support for IT architecture resources as needed. Management of stakeholders and their expectations.What you'll bring
Bachelor's degree in relevant field Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering etc. 6+ years of experience in Information Systems, experience in multiple areas of IT, preferably supporting Lifesciences industry Prior experience with commercial products such as customer relationship management, marketing, quoting/contracting and pricing. Experience related to Software as Service (SaaS) Experience with ITSM Process; experience with Service Now or Jira is preferred Solid understanding and working experience with Agile approach and culture. Understanding the SAFe (Agile at scale) approach is a plus. Skills in prototyping and rapid ideation/discovery. Ability to work with multiple geographies in a multicultural environment. Ability and maturity to lead senior level collaborators globally. Experience in working in regulated environments (i.e. privacy/compliance) Experience with Web Services and APIs (Application Programming Interface) such as (SOAP, REST) Working knowledge of lean product principles and strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and IT compliance Foundational project management skills (projects involving internal and external stakeholders) with ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads Sense of urgency with strong follow-up skills. Must be detailed oriented and able to work in a matrixed team setting Experience working with vendors and third-party providers on product features, releases, and issue resolution. Prior experience or ability to learn technical development architecture and configuration principles-
