Implement strategic, tactical and operational systems to provide for the provisioning of space, infrastructure, and services associated with facilities located in Monterrey, Nuevo León.

Provide and sustain budgetary control of purchasing card expenses for facilities operations. Coordinate Maintenance and shipping/receiving functions for Campus Monterrey operations.

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Civil or equivalent
  • Training in hazardous materials, safety, building and machinery maintenance, environmental and resource protection, etc; is helpful but not required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in facility management / facility engineering / building construction / building maintenance management or related fields.
  • Competency to be a liaison for coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities involving equipment and building.
  • Be able to develop relationships and work well with a variety of personnel within the Company and external engineers, contractors, vendors, regulators, etc.
  • Have working knowledge of the budgeting process, cost estimating and all other financial issues that relate to the efficient operation of a facility
  • Applicant must have a working knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards as promulgated by agencies of government, NOM, STPS, NFPA, NEC, FM Global, etc.

C) DESCRIPTION OF SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure facility maintenance, testing, and inspection schedules are performed to meet all corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Position requires a 24/7 availability and routinely requires weekend and holiday attendance depending on project schedules.
  • Sustain programs to maintain, inspect, and test all fire safety equipment and systems.
  • Monitor and implement systems to provide for security of personnel and the facility.
  • Inspect buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
  • Supervise all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors.
  • Control activities such as parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
  • Allocate office space according to needs.
  • Keep financial and nonfinancial records.
  • Perform analysis and forecasting
  • Cost estimates for moves and equipment
  • Keep records and schedule maintenance for building, labs, machinery, etc.
  • Understand and execute outsourcing of services to meet strict corporate and departmental budgetary policies.
  • Periodically retender contracts for services.
  • Respond to space allocation issues for planning and implementation of changing office layouts.
  • Provide project management of facilities projects, to include coordinating work, communicating project needs and scheduling to all affected parties.
  • Implement budgetary goals for the annual costs of hardware, internal/external services, and supplies.
  • Implement strategic plan for facilities growth and sustainment.
