  • Lead the purchasing function for new product development projects in the LATAM region.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve purchasing requirements and develop sourcing strategies.
  • Lead supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.
  • Implement and maintain purchasing systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues from different departments to predict demand and improve inventory management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to identify potential opportunities and risks.
  • Participate in product development meetings to provide input on cost optimization and supplier selection.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance purchasing processes and outcomes.
What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business administration, supply chain management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in Procurement, Project Management and/ or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Purchasing or Supply Chain certification desirable.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint. Business Analytics experience with Tableau, Microsoft BI is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, pro-active personality.
  • Strong business process and critical thinking.
  • Sound financial skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and engage senior management of current and potential suppliers.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional way with internal collaborators (senior management) to ensure the necessary buy-in for the sourcing/savings projects.
  • Ability to engage and support key stakeholders throughout the PSM process.
  • Good oral, written communications, and presentation skills.
  • An entrepreneurial personality with a strong negotiation skill coupled with a commercial mindset. First-rate analytical and problem-solving skills, with flexibility to devise alternative solutions to complex problems
  • Knowledge of six sigma / black belt methodologies is desirable.
