Summary (About this Position):


Utilizing NX CAD software and CS drawing standards the designer will create and modify Housings and other plastic components for Flow 4 and 5 activities.


Your Role (i.e.

Key Job Responsibilities):


The CAD Engineer will be expected to design/analyze electrical centers meeting customer requirements as well as following Aptiv design and robustness standards.

CAD Engineer will also assist in development of new design standards, participate in Robustness Reviews and undertake any additional tasks/projects as needed per MCAD supervisor.


  • Actuate and Timely creation/modification of CAD 3D models


 Analysis of components
  • Mating Checks
  • Design progress meetings
  • Reflection/Improvement projects
  • Workload management

Your Required Background (i.e.

Must Haves):

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Advanced CAD in NX or equivalent
  • Advanced Print Creation/Modification
  • Moderate to Advanced Tolerance Stack Up Analysis
  • Moderate GD&T
  • Problems solving and documentation skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication (English 80%)
  • Must work well with others

Your Preferred Background (i.e.

Nice to Haves):

  • Moldflow knowledge
  • FEA experience
  • Tooling/Molding process knowledge and/or experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, Skype, Teams, Visio, etc.)
  • Strong resultsorientation and execution characteristics
  • Resourcefully innovative and adapts in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to work with a team
