Wiring Harness Design Engineer (Automotive)About the Role:Design and develop electrical wiring harnesses for automotive applications. Create robust, cost-effective harness solutions that meet vehicle performance, safety, and manufacturing requirements.Key Responsibilities:Design 2D/3D wiring harness schematics and layouts using CAD toolsSelect connectors, terminals, cables, and protective componentsEnsure designs comply with automotive electrical standards and EMI/EMC requirementsCollaborate with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teamsCreate BOMs, drawings, and technical documentationSupport prototype builds and troubleshoot harness issuesRequirements:Diploma/Bachelor’s in Electrical/Mechanical/Automotive Engineering2+ years in automotive wiring harness designProficiency with harness design tools (Capital, CATIA, Zuken E3, or similar)Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, connectors, and componentsUnderstanding of wire sizing, fusing, and circuit protection principlesGood to Have:Experience with routing and packaging in CAD (NX, CATIA, Creo)Knowledge of automotive standards (LV214, ISO 6722)Familiarity with manufacturing processes (crimping, molding, testing)
