About the role

As a part of the Analytics Tooling team, you will engage with internal customers to build tools and  establish processes that define how we do analytics at Zillow. 

The role involves working on the following: 

• ROBBIE (A greenfield LLM co-pilot on top of Zillow’s data to enable self-service analytics at Zillow)

• Semantic Layer (A config driven framework to centralize logic for business metrics)

• Product Analytics (Currently using Amplitude)

• Business Intelligence Tooling (Tableau, Mode Analytics etc) for reporting and dashboarding

You will: 

• Participate in the architecture, implementation, and operations of tools and processes for gaining insights from Terabytes of data.

• Collaborate with analysts, product managers, data scientists to understand their analytical needs and drive technical solutions.

• Apply devops approach to continuously drive value for our end users while balancing support burden.

• Research and pioneer the adoption and use of new technologies within Zillow.

• Drive process improvements that affect hundreds of internal Zillow users.

Como parte del equipo de herramientas de análisis, trabajarás con clientes internos para crear herramientas y establecer procesos que definan cómo realizamos análisis en Zillow. 

El papel implica trabajar en lo siguiente: 

• ROBBIE (Un copiloto LLM greenfield en la parte superior de los datos de Zillow para permitir el análisis de autoservicio en Zillow)

• Semantic Layer (un marco de trabajo basado en la configuración para centralizar la lógica de las métricas empresariales)

• Análisis de productos (actualmente con Amplitude)

• Herramientas de Business Intelligence (Tableau, Mode Analytics, etc.) para informes y cuadros de mando.

• Te encargarás de: 

• Participar en la arquitectura, implementación y operaciones de herramientas y procesos para obtener perspectivas de Terabytes de datos.

• Colaborar con analistas, jefes de producto, científicos de datos para entender sus necesidades analíticas e impulsar soluciones técnicas.

• Aplicar el enfoque devops para impulsar continuamente el valor para nuestros usuarios finales mientras se equilibra la carga de soporte.

• Investigar y ser pionero en la adopción y uso de nuevas tecnologías dentro de Zillow.

• Impulsar mejoras de procesos que afecten a cientos de usuarios internos de Zillow.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Basic Qualifications:

• A degree (BS+) in Computer Science or a related discipline

• 5+ years of experience with building and maintaining full stack applications 

• Strong background in Java or Python 

• Experience with front end frameworks like React/Vue.js etc.

• History of leading projects independently at scale (company/org wide)

• Excellent interpersonal skills and passionate about collaborating across organizational boundaries

• Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken).  

• Must be authorized to work in Mexico. 

Nice to have:

• Passionate about data, analytics, and distributed systems.

• Experience with LLM and prompt engineering.

• Experience working with cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP)

• Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Flink, Kafka, Airflow, Databricks)

• Experience with Product analytics tools such as Amplitude, MixPanel, or BI Tools such as Tableau, Mode, Thoughtspot, Metabase, etc.

• Experience building data pipelines and transformations

• Collaboration across the company - needs to be able to partner with many different teams

Cualificaciones básicas:

• Un grado (BS +) en Ciencias de la Computación o una disciplina relacionada

• Más de 5 años de experiencia en la creación y mantenimiento de aplicaciones completas 

• Sólidos conocimientos de Java o Python 

• Experiencia con frameworks frontales como React/Vue.js etc.

• Historial de liderar proyectos de forma independiente a escala (empresa/org wide)

• Excelentes habilidades interpersonales y apasionado por colaborar a través de los límites de la organización

• Fluidez en inglés y español (tanto escrito como hablado).  

• Debe estar autorizado para trabajar en México. 

Agradable de tener:

• Apasionado por los datos, la analítica y los sistemas distribuidos.

• Experiencia con LLM y pronta ingeniería.

• Experiencia trabajando con servicios en la nube (AWS/Azure/GCP).

• Experiencia con tecnologías de big data (Spark, Flink, Kafka, Airflow, Databricks).

• Experiencia con herramientas de análisis de productos como Amplitude, MixPanel, o herramientas de BI como Tableau, Mode, Thoughtspot, Metabase, etc.

• Experiencia en la creación de canalizaciones y transformaciones de datos
