As an Embedded Software Engineer I at Plexus, you will be part of a team developing embedded software for products across a wide range of industries and at all phases of product development. You will also collaborate closely with other disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, user-centered design, and others.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Develops engineering/product concepts that are high-quality, cost-appropriate, and satisfy the customer's requirements.
- Successfully executes responsibilities in adherence to Plexus' engineering process.
- Demonstrates a clear, discipline-specific understanding of the full value stream (Conceptualize, Design, Commercialize, Manufacture, Fulfill, Sustain) as it applies to their role.
- Utilizes appropriate tools and equipment to perform necessary design work including design creation, design analysis, and design verification.
- Produces comprehensive project documentation based on the needs of the project and in accordance with the quality and change management procedures and guidelines.
Technical Qualifications
- Hands on experience working with Embedded software / ARM Microcontrollers (Sensors & Actuators)
- Working experience with C++ & STL
- Understanding of Object Oriented Design & Object Oriented Programming (OOD/OOP)
- Familiar with common OO Design Patterns and principles
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
- One (1) or more years of related experience is required.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
