Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cognos Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and implementing Cognos BI solutions. As a Cognos Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers, overseeing projects from conception to delivery, and ensuring that solutions align with business objectives and best practices.
Responsibilities
" Lead a team of Cognos developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.
" Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
" Design and develop Cognos BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions.
" Perform data modeling and design of relational and dimensional databases to support BI solutions.
" Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Cognos reports and queries.
" Implement best practices for Cognos development, security, and administration.
" Manage Cognos deployments, upgrades, and patches.
" Stay current with industry trends and advancements in Cognos BI technologies.
" Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Cognos applications.
Requirements
" Minimum of 8 years of experience in Cognos development and administration.
" Proven experience in leading a team of Cognos developers.
" Strong proficiency in Cognos BI Suite (Report Studio, Query Studio, Framework Manager, Transformer, etc.).
" Expertise in data modeling, SQL, and database design (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.).
" Solid understanding of BI best practices, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
" Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across different teams and levels of the organization.
" Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Developer - Cognos, IBM Certified Administrator - Cognos) are a plus.
Education Qualification
" Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
