The Engineer III-Cost position entails examining existing business procedures to pinpoint opportunities for cost efficiency. The role involves devising and executing strategies to minimize expenses without compromising quality or performance standards. Close collaboration with departments like procurement, finance, and operations is essential for implementing cost-saving initiatives that serve the organization effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed cost analyses of current business operations to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency enhancement
  • Formulate and execute cost-saving strategies aligned with organizational objectives and targets
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to collect data, evaluate risks and opportunities, and establish action plans
  • Regularly report and update management on cost-saving endeavors
  • Lead cost optimization initiatives throughout the organization, encompassing process enhancements, vendor negotiations, and contract administration
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to budget and forecast development, offering insights on cost-saving goals
  • Continually assess and refine cost-saving approaches to ensure sustainability and effectiveness

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in cost reduction, procurement, or financial management
  • Demonstrated history of achieving cost savings via process enhancements and vendor negotiations
  • Proficient in analytical thinking and problem-solving, capable of swiftly identifying opportunities for cost reduction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to foster relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong project management expertise to lead diverse teams towards shared objectives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools
  • Familiarity with procurement and contract management best practices is advantageous
