In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Analyze and execute messages in the purchase order system.
  • Analyze supplier's responses in the raw material purchase order issuance report generated weekly.
  • Negotiate and maintain communication with suppliers regarding delivery dates, ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Communicate daily with Materials Planning area about raw material deliveries.
  • Acquire RMA's from suppliers for non-conforming materials and uphold quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management system procedures and safety regulations.

For this role you will need:

  • Understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning): Essential grasp of MRP principles in procurement.
  • Knowledge of Electromechanical Components: Understanding of functionalities, specifications, and alternatives.
  • Knowledge of Inventory Management: Key skills in forecasting demand, managing stock, and optimizing ordering schedules.
  • Communication: Excellent communication for internal and external interactions.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve procurement-related issues.
  • Organization and Time Management: Important for efficient procurement.
  • Adaptability: Crucial for dynamic manufacturing environments.
  • Spanish/English Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency advantageous for communication.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • B.S. or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Accounting, or related fields.
  • Experience in similar positions within manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of MRP systems (Oracle highly desirable).
  • Lean Manufacturing Methodologies knowledge desirable.
  • Experience in purchasing and supplier negotiation.
  • Proficiency in project management and MS Office applications (especially Excel).
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, oral and written.
  • Proactive problem-solving and collaboration skills.
