What You Will Do
- Maintain a safe working environment and good housekeeping practices (6S).
- Aim to improve Quality performance metrics (QN, Scrap, Non-conforming Material, and Sorting).
- Organize and supervise the tabulation of summarized information for management and customer reports. Help support and drive the zero-defect mindset throughout the department.
- Respond to customer issues by implementing appropriate containment and/or corrective actions. Interact directly with customers in a timely and professional manner. Prepare detailed 8D reports
- Provide guidance in the development and analysis of inspection requirements, measurement criteria, SAP requirements, product processing techniques, and methodologies.
- Plan, execute, analyze, and report on product/process change assessments, as well as production issues using appropriate statistical tools.
- Work with AQP engineers, design engineers, and manufacturing engineers on qualification, PPAP, and safe launch of new and existing products.
- Participate and support the APQP process.
- Ensure that FMEA, control plan, and process flow documentation are effectively implemented in production and that requirements are periodically reviewed for all processes.
- Develop inspection routines for process and final audits.
- Actively support Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and programs.
- Understand, support, and contribute to Molex's current environmental and quality systems by following established policies and procedures, including compliance with quality management systems, IATF 16949, and customer-specific requirements.
Who You Are (Basic Requirements)
- Experience in the automotive industry, IATF, and AIAG (Automotive Quality Standards).
- 3 years of experience in quality as a Sr. Quality Engineer, experience in launch processes, directly or indirectly, problem-solving methodology (8D's, 3L5W, Ishikawa).
- Knowledge in process tools (control plan, flow diagrams, and PFEMA).
- Will be working with a multidisciplinary team (operation supervisors, manufacturing engineers, control engineering, materials engineers, auditors, and quality technicians).
- Attend meetings with sister plants globally.
- Develop problem-solving strategies.
