Description

Hitachi Energy is currently looking for a Security Specialist and Crisis Coordinator for our Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico plant. The ideal candidate will contribute to improving security performance in respective business unit location. Support business by applying in-depth security knowledge to offer solutions and advice. Drives the delivery of security plans and ensure effective risk management through excellence in security measures.

Organizational governance:

Provides competent functional local support at selected facility, in accordance with the region/country security plan and all global, regional and/or security policies, processes and planning. Has a dotted line reporting relationship to the designated security function country/cluster security manager.

Key metrics:

Collects, analyzes, and reports on performance, utilizing global security key performance indicators (KPIs). Performs and documents regular operational security audits and inspections.

Compliance:

Tracks, assesses, and reports on emerging security trends and related legislation. Supports managers to ensure that the area of responsibility is compliant with corporate global security standards, regulations, and guidelines.

Risk management:

Contributes to effective risk management of security related issues to the respective organization by providing specialist knowledge and advice on key business decisions in the development of solutions. Ensure that confidential, private, trade secret and other sensitive data stays out of the hands of unauthorized individuals.

Continuous improvement:

Drives behavioral change to continuously improve security performance through coordinated global and region-wide performance improvement programs and initiatives. Supports the sharing of best practices and applies global and regional standardized processes to deliver consistent security support within the respective business unit and/or facility.

Communication and engagement:

Engage external (e.g., customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders) and internal stakeholders to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment on Hitachi Energy's security efforts and performance and obtain objective feedback. Cooperates with other functions and business partners to improve security measures. Ensure communication with function country/cluster security managers.

Operational support:

Responsible for the implementation of annual security plans and the implementation of security objectives (in alignment with the Hitachi Energy global and regional security strategy) within the respective business unit/facility. At the designated facility, schedules, coordinates, and guides training on security and crisis management topics for Hitachi Energy personnel and contractors. Participate, lead, and advise as internal auditor of Hitachi Energy in the audit schedules of the OEA program for security requirements. coordinating and supervising the operation of private security guards and other installed security controls. Reviews and leads incident investigations within own area of responsibility. Carries out root cause analysis and advises on corrective actions. Supports an effective level of crisis resilience and coordination in the respective business unit/facility by supporting the overall organizational resilience model of Hitachi Energy and coordinating as needed an effective response. Participate in the security budget's design and proper local administration according to your area of responsibility.

Project management:

Contributes to and/or plans and executes security related projects at selected facility. Develops and reports on project objectives to the business and function country/cluster security managers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • University degree. Professional in security management with 3 – 7 years of experience in public security service and/or private/corporate security service. Minimum 3 years with physical security/access control/project management experience including badging, access control, and the monitoring of IP based cameras.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ensure that people, property, protected information, and sensitive equipment are safe and secure during daily operations.
  • Experience with OEA programs.
  • Experience managing contract security personnel.
  • Demonstrated organization, facilitation, written and oral communication, and presentation skills.
  • First responder/CPR certified.
  • True team player attitude with the ability to multitask.
  • Must be able to work under time constraints, accomplish tasks with limited supervision, and respond to short-notice assignments.
  • Must be able to provide expertise, advice, training, and assistance on all security programs.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, including being able to identify issues and find suitable and creative solutions in a timely manner.
  • Fluent Spanish speaker and a minimum intermediate-level English (Level 8 EF) and use office tools.
