Packaging Procurement Engineer

Description:

  • This position involves overseeing engineering processes and analyzing customer feedback for supplier products, as well as managing the acquisition and supply of designated commodities. Collaboration with suppliers and internal teams is key to drive continuous improvement in product design and manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage engineering relationships with key suppliers for regional packaging component development.
  • Review and evaluate supplier product designs, processes, and activities for compliance with company standards.
  • Assist in resolving purchasing and procurement-related issues between factories and vendors.
  • Lead engineering processes for supplier products to improve quality and reduce costs.
  • Measure supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide expertise and leadership in procurement engineering to cross-organization projects.
  • Integrate new supplier technologies and quality initiatives into product design and manufacturing.
  • Offer guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.

Education & Experience Recommended:

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Engineering or relevant field.
  • 7-10 years of work experience in purchasing, project management, compliance, or related areas.
