The Global Role Packaging & Labeling is responsible for the worldwide strategic purchasing of packaging & labeling materials and its subcategories for all Contitech and Tires sectors and BUs. This position is reporting to the Head of Global Cluster Operational Supplies and steers the implementation of the respective Category Strategy. The global approach creates an added value for all Business Units in terms of commercial, logistical and even technical enhancements, i.e. sustainable total cost reduction, support quality initiatives for internal customers, prolongation of payment terms, warranty and liability optimization, ensuring the worldwide availability of materials and services, data transparency and process improvements as well as strengthening of relationship to strategic Business Partners (internally and externally).
Tasks:
- PURCHASING STRATEGY:
- Develop, maintain, align, communicate and implement Global Purchasing Strategies
- Create Category Strategy Paper (CSP) and responsibility for the update and global execution
- Develop, maintain, align, communicate and implement Global Purchasing Strategies
- POOLING & SUPPLIER REDUCTION:
- Drive the Execution of Market Intelligence studies and ensure the ideal balance of Competition and Pooling through e.g. supplier reduction and implementation of strategic suppliers
- Conduct Global Benchmark evaluation and derive consequences in combination with cross functions (active supplier management)
- SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:
- Identify, develop and promote Global Strategic Suppliers based on SRM requirements and considering the CSP definitions.
- Assure the implementation of favorable negotiated prices, terms and conditions in all relevant countries
- Drive improvement programs with suppliers
- CONTRACTS:
- Negotiate new and existing Global Price and Framework Agreements in legal, logistical, commercial and partly even technical terms in close alignment with stakeholders and steer the implementation in respective regions
- SOURCING PROJECTS:
- Identify, initiate, accompany and tender Global Projects in cooperation with the Regional Category Manager and regional Sourcing Center and internal customer
- Drive re-design in cost reduction programs
- DATA MAINTENANCE
- Understanding of the multiple data management systems and interaction with the related system owners to ensure in time implementation of correct data in the respective IT systems
- Support by checking monthly the local data and target achievement
- KPI's
- Define, implement and track relevant KPI ́s in coordination with Head of Global Cluster Operational Supplies on a global scale according the CT & T Sector Target & KPI settings
- COMPLIANCE:
- Ensure Compliance with Business Partner Code of Conduct and Continental Code of Conduct
