Department Description:

Oracle Search Cloud is a scalable search solution that powers Oracle PaaS and SaaS cloud offerings with responsive full-text search capabilities. Join a team of search experts to develop Oracle Search Cloud from scratch. Key features include:

  • Scalable indexing and search platform
  • Utilizing Elasticsearch as the search engine
  • REST APIs for data ingest query, admin, and supervising operations
  • Real-time search functionality
  • Automatic provisioning and Lifecycle management

Oracle Enterprise Crawl and Search Framework (ECSF) is a search framework within Oracle Fusion Middleware that facilitates full-text transactional search.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement core features of Oracle Secure Cloud and Enterprise Crawl and Secure Framework
  • Write high-quality, production-ready code with a focus on quality
  • Tackle technical challenges to enhance search scalability, relevancy, and user experience
  • Ensure product quality through code reviews, bug fixing, and unit testing

Requirements and technical skills:

Candidate Profile:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years of JAVA and J2EE development experience
  • Experience in building highly scalable end-to-end search solutions
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, RESTful API, and Web Services
  • Strong work ethic, attention to quality, and flexibility
  • Preferably experienced with Oracle Fusion Applications and Elastic Search
  • Background in developing Software as a Service (SaaS) applications is a bonus

Top 3 skills/technologies in the ideal candidate:

  • Java / J2ee web service stack experience
  • Experience with RESTful APIs
  • Search or Indexing experience, preferably with Elastic Search
