POSITION IN THE ORGANISATION

Organization Reporting :

  • Hierarchical: Subsystem Design Manager
  • Functional: Subsystem BIM Manager

Network & Links:

  • BIM Management team,
  • BIM department in Central Engineering,
  • Engineering team subystem and transverse engineering,
  • Project Manager, Sourcing / Suppliers, Construction team, Customer, Client, consultant,
  • CW consultants and contractors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical missions:

  • Implement project-specific standards provided by the design BIM manager and collaborate with the BIM manager to execute the BIM Execution Plan,
  • Drive standards, processes, and procedures within the design teams,

Ensure the proper use and update of BIM guidelines and processes throughout the design process:

  • Update user manuals for all software and applications used in design development,
  • Identify BIM technical needs and ensure software interoperability within the Project,

Ensure the completion and quality of the Component Library:

  • Ensure technical understanding of the BIM Supplier Instruction by the Manufacturers,
  • Check compliance of 3D Objects with BIM Supplier Instruction,
  • Maintain and make available the Subsystem Component Library,

Manage tools used for design development and deliverables production:

  • Create and manage templates in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD,
  • Provide hardware and network support for design development,

QCD and Reporting:

  • Keep up to date the list of BIM models and their status,
  • Contribute to the enforcement of good practices within the design team,
  • Perform reporting of design development to the design BIM Manager and Design Manager,
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Must have knowledge of civil or electrical design experience, Railway knowledge is appreciated,

Must have 3+ years production experience in design, drafting, or engineering,

In-depth working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks is required,

Possess the ability to work well as part of a team and independently,

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal,

Excellent organizational skills,

Fluent in English.
