Principal Advanced Services Engineer Database and Exadata

The team is responsible for troubleshooting complex technical issues related to Oracle Database and Exadata stack. They handle areas like Real Application Clusters, Data Guard, Backup and Recovery, RMAN, Performance tuning, Memory Management, and more. The Engineer should have hands-on experience with Linux, Unix, and/or Solaris platforms. Selected candidates will collaborate with customers, support engineers, and developers to ensure excellent customer experience. This position offers opportunities to specialize in Oracle Database, Exadata, and Cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will be a recognized expert in their role, with the ability to solve intricate problems and find effective solutions independently.
Technical Skills:
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Oracle database technology.
- Advanced skills in RAC, ASM, Performance tuning, HA, Backup and Recovery.
- Experience in Oracle Security products, Golden Gate, Exadata, Super Cluster, ZFS, ZDLRA is a plus.
- Skilled in Oracle Exadata administration, implementation, and patching.
- Strong experience in Oracle GoldenGate, Database Administration, and High Availability.
- Expertise in Disaster Recovery, Data Guard, and Performance Tuning.
- Understanding of Oracle Enterprise Manager, Linux Server, and networking infrastructure.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Prepared to work in shifts and weekends.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Over 6 years of experience in Oracle Database or Exadata Administration.
- Relevant certifications in Oracle Database and Cloud Infrastructure are beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide post-sales support and solutions to Oracle customers.
- Offer strategic technical support for customer satisfaction.
- Resolve technical inquiries and issues related to Oracle products.
- Manage customer escalations and ensure timely resolutions.
- Implement proactive support strategies to improve service quality.
- Educate customers on troubleshooting processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical issues.
- Stay updated on product features and new technologies.
- Available for 24x7 support if required.
