- Purpose of Position
This position will be responsible for leading technical work and process development into manufacturing to execute project for HSDC business related to new product introduction or process improvement.
Working with other members of the project core team, ensure technical rigor and the use of sound engineering principles and method throughout all activities of the project and having strong knowledge of the product which main element is fiber optic.
- Day to day responsibilities and tasks of the position
- Provide technical leadership and support to NPI projects, ensuring the integrity of processes and products.
- Identify process improvement opportunities within NPI projects and develop strategic plans for implementation.
- Collaborate with Technology, Project Managers, and Manufacturing teams to drive process development and technical understanding.
- Analyze data, perform failure analysis, and document fundamental understanding, adhering to industrial standards related to product function.
- Lead cross functional teams in troubleshooting problems and implementing solutions to ensure project success.
- Report project status, concerns, progress, and challenges to key stakeholders.
- Participate in new product development projects with a focus on Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
- Support the establishment and maintenance of a safe work environment, prioritizing employee well being and compliance with safety standards.
- Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a Physical Science or Technical field, with a preference for experience in Optics.
- Required Skills
- Strong demonstrated technical aptitude and the ability to grasp new advanced concepts quickly through the application of physics and first principle of engineering.
- Good problems solving and analytical capabilities.
- High initiative, able to work with a minimum of direction, and able to work in team environment
- English language required to have successful communication
